Kamrup celebrated the 76th Republic Day celebrations at North Guwahati College ground on January 26, 2025 as the nation also marked its 76th Republic Day.
Hon'ble Environment & Forest minister, Govt. of Assam, Sjt Chandramohan Patowari hoisted the national flag at a central function organized by the Kamrup district administration at North Guwahati College grounds today.
In his speech on the occasion, he paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation and the heroic martyrs of the freedom struggle. He said that the country has moved to a special stage of development under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The event was also attended by Hon'ble MLA, Kamalpur LAC, Shri Diganta Kalita, Hon'ble MLA, Palasbari LAC, Shri Hemanga Thakuria, DC, Kamrup, SP, Kamrup, OSD to Hon'ble CM, Assam Shri Hemanta Choudhury and other dignitaries.
The Minister of Environment and Forests, Govt. of Assam officially hoisted the National Flag at the main program and received parade salute from the police, paramilitary forces, NCC etc.
